xDragonx Posted February 10, 2012 at 10:04 AM Report Posted February 10, 2012 at 10:04 AM Hi, I am planning on taking a one year course in Chinese at either Peking University, Tsinghua or the ICLP at NTU in the fall. My ultimate aim is to take the intermediate level HSK when I'm ready as i would really like to work in China long-term. One of the decisions I have to make at this stage is whether I should take a course that teaches traditional characters or one which teaches simplified. Is the HSK completely in simplified characters and therefore should I only consider a course that focuses on this? Thanks for your help! Quote
wushijiao Posted February 10, 2012 at 10:19 AM Report Posted February 10, 2012 at 10:19 AM It's my understanding that in the Mainland, all test are in simplified. When I took the HSK Gao in HK, they gave you a choice. Perhaps things have changed. In any case, I'm sure you can always go to the HSK website, which as we know, is always updated and efficient.... 1 Quote
yialanliu Posted February 11, 2012 at 01:53 AM Report Posted February 11, 2012 at 01:53 AM Definited take simplified. If anything will change in the future it will be traditional will move towards simplified, not the other way around. 3 Quote
