Bookshops in Hong Kong / Shenzen

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm heading to Hong Kong for Chinese new year.

I saw here some advices on bookshops in Beijing but none for HK.

I'm mostly interested in HSK material and maybe some BLCU books.

If you are able to do so, go to Shenzhen from Hong Kong.

Take the new Metro that has just opened. You need to take it from Lowu/Lohu station and then get off at the third station "Da Ju Yuan".

At this station, get out at exit C2 and on your left you should see Shenzhen Book City. The trip costs RMB2 (less than 2HK$)

The prices for books there are around 20-30% to those in Hong Kong.

Alternatively, just take the taxi (and miss the fun ride).

Happy shopping !! ;)

Book City is good, but also check out the relatively new Shenzhen Book Centre at 深圳市深南路上步路口中核大厦1-6层

Shenzhen has several book stores called "Book City". The biggest one is besides the Shaoniangong metro station in Futian district. Their own advertisement states it's the largest book store in the world. Not sure if that is true, anyway it is gigantic. Try it if you have chance.
