youpii Posted January 18, 2005 at 02:55 PM Report Posted January 18, 2005 at 02:55 PM Hi I'm heading to Hong Kong for Chinese new year. I saw here some advices on bookshops in Beijing but none for HK. I'm mostly interested in HSK material and maybe some BLCU books. Quote
lc10035 Posted January 29, 2005 at 03:03 PM Report Posted January 29, 2005 at 03:03 PM If you are able to do so, go to Shenzhen from Hong Kong. Take the new Metro that has just opened. You need to take it from Lowu/Lohu station and then get off at the third station "Da Ju Yuan". At this station, get out at exit C2 and on your left you should see Shenzhen Book City. The trip costs RMB2 (less than 2HK$) The prices for books there are around 20-30% to those in Hong Kong. Alternatively, just take the taxi (and miss the fun ride). Happy shopping !! ;) Quote
liuzhou Posted January 29, 2005 at 05:17 PM Report Posted January 29, 2005 at 05:17 PM Book City is good, but also check out the relatively new Shenzhen Book Centre at 深圳市深南路上步路口中核大厦1-6层 Tel: 61359880 Quote
PanShiBo Posted November 25, 2010 at 01:46 AM Report Posted November 25, 2010 at 01:46 AM What are good book stores in Shenzhen? ( I know Shenzhen Book City, which is not bad. ) Quote
PanShiBo Posted November 27, 2010 at 02:01 AM Report Posted November 27, 2010 at 02:01 AM Shenzhen Book City has pretty good selection on new HSK exam. Mock tests, some have CDs. Quote
chaiknees Posted December 23, 2010 at 02:17 PM Report Posted December 23, 2010 at 02:17 PM Shenzhen has several book stores called "Book City". The biggest one is besides the Shaoniangong metro station in Futian district. Their own advertisement states it's the largest book store in the world. Not sure if that is true, anyway it is gigantic. Try it if you have chance. Quote
