feng Posted February 18, 2012 at 02:55 AM Report Posted February 18, 2012 at 02:55 AM Spent about an hour adding and ammending cards to have some example sentences on my laptop. Later on in the day spend a copule of hours using anki on my phone. What to do!! Such a waste of time! Should I throw away my amendments, or my review time? 阿呀!!! Yet again the same problem I have so often!! Quote
drungood Posted February 18, 2012 at 05:15 AM Report Posted February 18, 2012 at 05:15 AM This problem is going to be fixed in the next version of Anki (2.0), due to be released pretty soon. 1 Quote
hanyu_xuesheng Posted February 18, 2012 at 09:37 AM Report Posted February 18, 2012 at 09:37 AM It will take a long time (and will cause a lot of chaos) to switch to Anki 2. I stopped using Anki because of the synchronization (and other) hassles, and I am now using Flashcards Deluxe (only on iPhone). Cheaper, better, and more stable! And no need to learn in front of the computer! The SRS is better, too. Quote
feng Posted February 18, 2012 at 10:32 AM Author Report Posted February 18, 2012 at 10:32 AM Yea i prefer to study on my iphone as well, but entering sample sentences on my phone is a pain, so slow it takes forever. At the moment I feel like just giving up on SRS all together. Quote
drungood Posted February 18, 2012 at 10:54 AM Report Posted February 18, 2012 at 10:54 AM I don't see why it would take so long to switch to Anki 2. I tried the alpha a few weeks ago and it converted my decks just fine. Then it took maybe 20 minutes of reading the manual to figure out how the new version worked, and everything in it was an improvement imo. But you should wait until the beta version to start using it since the current deck format may be changed, in which case you may lose your work. But the beta should be out within a month. Quote
feng Posted February 18, 2012 at 02:33 PM Author Report Posted February 18, 2012 at 02:33 PM I don't think it will be possible to switch to using Anki 2 until there is an iPhone version of Anki 2 right? Quote
