URGENT: Getting a Chinese visa in SE Asia for British Citizen

Umm I did read the topic...

China is normally pretty good about accomadating people if you get a nice official.

I am currently on a 120 day 1 year M because I needed to be in the country for about 95 days and had no problems getting it. I had my agent bring the itinerary and hoped for the best and got it. Because it worked for me, I figure it's worth a shot and see if they can accomadate your itinerary. Show them your SEA and Beijing one together and it might work. No point in not trying.

If you are really lucky, your first visa might even be a 1 year double entry 3 M type that my coworker got and it was his first visa into China.

So what actual visa do you think they're going to give him / her? Have you ever heard of anyone getting a similar visa? Sorry, but I've never heard of this happening, and I'm massively dubious they'll do it. I think at best the application will be a waste of time. At worst they keep the visa application fee.

Hey hey, I'm wrong! Sort of.

Single entry visas have an enter-before date of three months after issuance. But double or multiple-entry visas have six months. The OP could, therefore, apply for a double entry visa and just use one entry. It'd cost more, but it might be worth working out what the difference would be with getting a single entry visa in SEA nearer the time. Then you can decide if it's worth it for the peace of mind. Personally, I'd say no, but my mind is remarkably peaceful.

Although by now it's maybe too late anyway, especially if it would be a postal application. And any rush service fees would make it even less worthwhile.

I didn't realize you had a longer window to use the double / M entry visas.
