1. 紫菜小鱼汤 = Seaweed (nori) fish soup

2. 新加坡风味牛肉条 = Singapore style (flavored) beef strips. It's basically beef jerky.

3. 紫菜汤 鸡汁味 = Seaweed (nori) soup with chicken flavoring

4. 水煮鱼 = This package contains the flavoring ingredients for 水煮鱼, which is a famous sichuan dish consisting of fish in hot chili oil. I am guessing that you basically fry up some fish in a pan and pour this in.

5. I have no idea.

6. 麻辣三丝 = This package contains some of the ready made ingredients for 麻辣三丝 which translates to "spicy 3 types of strips". A typical 麻辣三丝 dish can contain strips of pork, bamboo shoots and 莴笋 (asparagus lettuce). However, what's contained in this package looks like 榨菜 (a spicy pickled vegetable) and 海带 (kelp). I'm guessing that you fry up some pork strips and add this to the pan.

Personally I use 紫菜 only. But I know very little about food and don't really know if there is only one type of seaweed or if there are different types. I think 海藻 is something that the fish eats. :D Another term that people use is 海苔. There is another type that is called 昆布 or 海帶 which looks quite different from 紫菜.

Last time I was in Seoul a friend said she wanted to buy some korean 紫菜 but somehow we could not make ourselves understood until I told the assistant of the supermarket we wanted "nori". :)

PS - This is off-topic ... but how should we call 紫菜 in Korean?
