tjlai Posted March 21, 2012 at 06:12 PM Report Share Posted March 21, 2012 at 06:12 PM Hi guys! I'm a BBC (British Born Chinese) and Chinese (well, Cantonese actually), like most BBC's is not my first language. I can read a little bit of Chinese but can't write much at all! I recently wrote a song for my wife for her birthday, also involving my 2 year old son in the song. It is thanks to posts about "how to say 'this' or 'that'" in Chinese that I came across on this forum that enabled me to write this song! So basically just wanna say THANKS to everyone on here! Keep it up! Here's a link to the song if you're interested: Don't laugh! (Don't know if the link will show actually because this is my first post and I don't know the rules regarding links, so sorry if it doesn't show.) tjlai Posted March 22, 2012 at 05:20 PM Author Report Share Posted March 22, 2012 at 05:20 PM If anyone see's this, can you let me know if there are any mistakes on the chinese subtitles please? It took me ages scouring the net to find specific Cantonese words but I'm not sure if I have used them correctly or not! It's quite hard learning to write in Cantonese and there isn't that much on the internet about it either, or if there is, I've been looking in the wrong places! Learned quite a bit from here though ;) Which is how I ended up here in the first place!
tjlai Posted March 22, 2012 at 05:33 PM Author Report Share Posted March 22, 2012 at 05:33 PM I've already realised that I've written 我地 instead of 我哋. Although it's been mentioned on this forum that it may not be a mistake? Not sure about that one.
