Easter Eggs in Harbin

Hi - Late call out, does anyone know where you can purchase Easter eggs in Harbin?

No, but I guess near the Russian border maybe? There seems to be an egg decorating technique called pysanky which can be really nice to see.

Google tells me Harbin has a handful of Carrefours. Probably there at least if you can't find them elsewhere.

What kind of Easter eggs? The plastic ones you fill with candy? Eggs which have already been colored? Cadbury eggs?

Was hoping for Cadbury eggs. It's ok though my kids are very young and I didn't tell them it was Easter anyway just in case! I haven't been to any of the Carrefours yet are they any good? I'm in Daoli District on the river so mainly I go to a local market for meat, fruit and veg and then to Metro, Mykal or Euro plaza to find western type ingredients.

I can't speak about the Carrefours in Harbin, but typically I found them to be reasonable places to go to get western products. More so than other Chinese supermarket chains.

I'd be surprised if some chocolate shop in a department store somewhere didn't have a display of Easter eggs. Did you find any, or did your kids remain ignorant of what they were missing?

Could not find an egg but found a packet of Tim Tams which is a Aussie chocolate biscuit, kept the kids in the dark but really they were an excuse for me as I would have murdered a few eggs in my pregnant state
