綠色的外星人 Posted April 10, 2012 at 08:48 AM Report Share Posted April 10, 2012 at 08:48 AM Hi there I'm looking for a clear explanation, in Chinese (普通話/國語), of Stephen Krashen's Input Hypothesis, and its accompanying theories. Can anyone point me to a resource, preferably online, that explains the main points in an objective way? I'd like to find Chinese explanations for the following concepts: The Input Hypothesis The Acquisition-learning Hypothesis The Monitor Hypothesis The Affective Filter Hypothesis The Natural Order Hypothesis Bonus points are available for material that is particularly compelling or clear. (I can remember being impressed by the ancient video floating around on Youtube: but alas that explanation is in English and also rather brief.) I'm aware there's a quite a wide gulf between theory and practice, so I'm on the lookout for good case studies or experience papers (explained in Chinese) that people may be aware of.I've done a bit of searching, but my Chinese level is currently not good enough (that's an understatement) for me to be able to sift the wheat from the chaff, so to speak, so any help is appreciated. Cheers! P.S. Hopefully this message is the right forum -- if not let me know if not and I'll try to get it moved.
roddy Posted April 10, 2012 at 10:35 AM Report Share Posted April 10, 2012 at 10:35 AM There's a Baidupedia page which is very brief, but does provide some terms that might be useful as further search-bait.
Gus Posted April 11, 2012 at 12:40 AM Report Share Posted April 11, 2012 at 12:40 AM It's not online, but I'm pretty sure my textbook from last year, which unfortunately I no longer own, contains a Chinese explanation for each. I can at least give you the names: The Acquisition-learning Hypothesis: 习得—学习假设 The Natural Order Hypothesis: 自然顺序假设 The Monitor Hypothesis: 监控器假设 Input Hypothesis: 输入假设 The Affective Filter Hypothesis: 情感过滤假 This is what the book looks like (汉语第二语言教学理论概要:应用语言学 by 朱志平): http://book.360buy.com/10077180.html Alternatively, try Baidu searching for any of the above terms in Chinese or "克拉申的五个假设"(Krashen's 5 hypotheses). Here's one result; might be enough right there: http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_8435d80e0100vgvz.html Good luck!
綠色的外星人 Posted April 11, 2012 at 10:44 PM Author Report Share Posted April 11, 2012 at 10:44 PM Thanks to all who read this and for your replies. Roddy -- that is very useful, thank-you. I noticed that the input hypothesis (输入假说 / 輸入假說) actually has a separate page here: http://baike.baidu.com/view/688841.htm Gus -- many thanks for providing translations of the terms. Those will undoubtedly come in useful. Also, the book seems quite interesting. I'll definitely take a look when I get a moment. The reason I'm asking is that my Chinese language teacher and I recently got onto the subject of comprehensible input (可理解行輸入). My teacher seemed interested in exploring the area, and so I wanted to help them out with some good reference materials. Thanks again for your help
