xyz123abc Posted April 15, 2012 at 02:50 AM Report Posted April 15, 2012 at 02:50 AM It says we can learn vocabulary from 100+ books. Are the real books hosted and ready to be consulted or are just vocabulary lists which offered? I don't feel comfortable writing on my mouse, yet. The main reason to register would be reading the gradedbooks TY! Quote
Mouseneb Posted April 15, 2012 at 08:15 AM Report Posted April 15, 2012 at 08:15 AM Just the vocabulary lists are on Skritter, so you can use their method to learn the vocab from those books. The actual books are not on Skritter. I think it's improved my Chinese a lot - especially my reading skills. If you want to try it they will give you a free trial. If you use this referral link you and I will both get two free weeks in addition. http://www.skritter.com/refer/wallaby78erik Quote
elliott50 Posted April 15, 2012 at 08:54 AM Report Posted April 15, 2012 at 08:54 AM I have used Scritter for over a year now, for an average of an hour each day. Their stats say that I have spent 500 hours studying, learning 2327 characters and 5482 words. Even though using Scritter regularly feels like self-torture, I can vouch for it as a very effective way to systematically improve vocabulary retention, especially reading and tones. The character writing aspect has probably improved my handwriting too, but my writing focus is on assisting recognition. In order to use the Scritter character writing practice you really need to get a pen and tablet, rather than use a mouse. In summary, Scritter is a really great way to support your study of any textbook, rather than being a supplier of textbooks themselves. 1 Quote
