New Members maryke Posted April 19, 2012 at 07:46 AM New Members Report Posted April 19, 2012 at 07:46 AM Hi all I would like to ask for some advice please. My husband and I taught in China from March 2011 - Feb 2012. We left China in Feb 2012 and are currently in South Africa. The school has asked us to come back and we have accepted. Only thing is- our Residence Permit is valid until 21st June 2012 but our Work Visa and Foreign Expert Cert have expired already. The school has spoken to the local police and they said as long as we come back before the expiry date we can then renew that in China. We are just worried that because our Work Visa is no longer valid we will be refused entry into China. Your advice would be much appreciated. Maryke Quote
liuzhou Posted April 19, 2012 at 11:26 AM Report Posted April 19, 2012 at 11:26 AM Your work (Z) visa became invalid when the residence permit was issued. The Z-visa is merely an entrance visa and is replaced by the residence permit. You are worrying about nothing. The residence permit is the only relevant document and you will have no problems so long as that is still valid. 2 Quote
