GuernseyMatt Posted January 25, 2005 at 06:16 PM Report Posted January 25, 2005 at 06:16 PM Anyone got any suggestions (other than see a Doctor or Chiropractor) for relieving pain in the lower back? Quote
studentyoung Posted January 28, 2005 at 03:12 AM Report Posted January 28, 2005 at 03:12 AM Dear Sir, Sorry, I can’t give you any suggestion, but I have searched some articles for you (please check the link below), which may give you some clues in this field. You see, there no catholicon for even the same symptom, because even the same symptom can be caused by all kinds of illness. Take back pain as an example, there may be the bony spur, the chronic strain in the back muscle, the strain of the nervous tissue in spinal cord, necrosis, bone cancer and so on, that cause the pain. Without some professional knowledge, how can you tell each condition apart and choose the proper treatment? Without knowing your true conditions which doctor/man dares give you any suggestion? I think it is important to suit the remedy to the case! Anyway, good luck! http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Chinese+medicine+back+pain Ken Posted February 6, 2005 at 07:27 PM Report Posted February 6, 2005 at 07:27 PM There are so many variables. Suggest you go to the following site which has a health forum. Many have shared their experiences. Maintaining really good posture and strengthening muscles is often the key to long term relief. http://www.hsibaltimore.com/hsi/forum/forum.shtml Good luck Quote
GuernseyMatt Posted February 7, 2005 at 06:44 PM Author Report Posted February 7, 2005 at 06:44 PM Thanks Ken, A very interesting web site in many ways. I have been attending a Chiropractor since making my initial post and am feeling not only "normal", but decidedly great . Its amazing the amount of discomfort people (me) will tolerate and allow to become "the norm". Its a typical case of "I didn't know how bad I felt, until I felt better" From my recent experience, I would never go to a general practice medical doctor for back pain ever again, but straight to a specialist Chiroprator.
