How does this Chinese name sound?

I've been using this Chinese name, but I'm wondering now if it sounds like a girls name. (Which would be great, only, I'm a guy.)

孟栗

or， as a Chinese friend suggested,

孟栗霄

Maybe I should just scratch the 栗, despite me liking both chestnuts and the character. (It seems to have only effeminate connotations in Japanese also.)

My given name is "Chris" and I'm happy with 孟 as a Sirname (I like the Japanese version too: Kashira).
