Can someone recommend a suitable one? I have passed HSK3 and now studying the HSK 4 words. Would 现代汉语规范词典 be too advanced for me? Thanks! IMHO 打算 is a bit subjective and is concerned with a single person's individual plans, slightly 随便 if you like, while 计划 is used in more formal context, where plans are taken more seriously. What one plans for life is 计划 rather than 打算, and whether one goes jogging or not the following day is 打算. As a native speaker, you intuitively know the difference between these two words, and so do all the native speakers around you. Talking about this sort of stuff amongst yourselves has no real function since you already grasp the idea.
