Susu Posted June 19, 2012 at 02:14 PM Report Posted June 19, 2012 at 02:14 PM Hello, The tattoos say the following - they are not used phrases so I have translated the individual characters. 昔米毒 - Past Rice Poison 暗切勇 - Dark Cut Brave 1 Quote
jbradfor Posted June 19, 2012 at 02:42 PM Report Posted June 19, 2012 at 02:42 PM Likely they are trying to be transliterations of names. 昔米毒 -- xi mi du in pinyin, pronounced something like "she me do" in Mandarin 暗切勇 -- an qie yong in pinyin, pronounced something like, ummm, this one's harder in English, "on chi-a yo(u)ng" (last one is like "young" if you drop the "u"). Know anyone with names that sounds kind-of similar to that? They could very well also be transliterations using a different language than Mandarin, e.g. Japanese or Cantonese. Quote
外国赤佬 Posted June 19, 2012 at 02:50 PM Report Posted June 19, 2012 at 02:50 PM 昔米毒 could be a transliteration for Smith. Quote
roddy Posted June 19, 2012 at 03:01 PM Report Posted June 19, 2012 at 03:01 PM Just tell them it's his name in Chinese. He's going to be in a desk job at the Pentagon before a war with China starts anyway. Quote
