Glenn Posted June 30, 2012 at 12:14 AM Report Posted June 30, 2012 at 12:14 AM Would it be possible to set the default mode of users for the online list to "Show Registered Only"? I look at it fairly often, and I'm not overly concerned with what the Google spiders and guests are looking at.... Does anyone else use it frequently? Do feel the same way? Quote
imron Posted June 30, 2012 at 12:22 AM Report Posted June 30, 2012 at 12:22 AM It's always set to 'Show Registered Only' for me. Does it always reset for you after you've set it to 'Show Registered Only'? Quote
Glenn Posted June 30, 2012 at 12:26 AM Author Report Posted June 30, 2012 at 12:26 AM Yes, but now I'm wondering if there's some setting in user options that'll allow me to change it for myself. I'm going to check that out now. Quote
Glenn Posted June 30, 2012 at 12:30 AM Author Report Posted June 30, 2012 at 12:30 AM Well, if there is that option, I'm not seeing it. Has it always been that way for you? Quote
imron Posted June 30, 2012 at 12:49 AM Report Posted June 30, 2012 at 12:49 AM I'm not sure if it's always been that way, but I do know that I never have to set it manually (but maybe I had to change it once ages ago). Do you have to set it everytime you view the list, or does it only reset after logging-in/out? Quote

imron Posted June 30, 2012 at 01:51 AM Report Posted June 30, 2012 at 01:51 AM What browser are you using, and do you allow it to accept cookies? Quote
Glenn Posted June 30, 2012 at 02:34 AM Author Report Posted June 30, 2012 at 02:34 AM Chrome, and I'm guessing "yes", because I can stay logged in to websites even after I shutdown. I can't find an option for cookies, though. Quote
Glenn Posted June 30, 2012 at 02:37 AM Author Report Posted June 30, 2012 at 02:37 AM I'm not sure if this is related or not, but when I go back to a page I was just on (the main forum page, for instance), it doesn't go back to the spot on the page I was -- it goes back to the top. That only happens here that I'm aware of. Oh yeah, I also just remembered that when I check the forum at work (*ahem*), I have the same issue on IE 9, and I'm pretty sure cookies are also enabled on that... machine and browser. Quote
imron Posted June 30, 2012 at 03:18 AM Report Posted June 30, 2012 at 03:18 AM Fair enough. It might be a setting somewhere that is different for admin users. That being the case you'll need to wait for Roddy to have a look at it, but he's away for a few days at the moment. Quote
Glenn Posted June 30, 2012 at 04:41 AM Author Report Posted June 30, 2012 at 04:41 AM OK. It's not that big of a deal, just a minor inconvenience. Thanks. Quote
Glenn Posted August 1, 2012 at 07:49 PM Author Report Posted August 1, 2012 at 07:49 PM I wanted to follow up on this to make sure I wasn't forgotten. I'm not sure if roddy's all caught up on the backlog yet, so just in case. Quote
roddy Posted August 1, 2012 at 08:46 PM Report Posted August 1, 2012 at 08:46 PM Roddy is barely managing to read the site these days, let alone fix it...however I can tell you what's happening here - Glenn's clicking the link on the forums listing page, while Imron is clicking the one on the home page (on the online users box). I should just fix that now, shouldn't I. David Allen would want me to fix it now. I'll do it. Barring unforeseen complications. Quote
roddy Posted August 1, 2012 at 08:52 PM Report Posted August 1, 2012 at 08:52 PM Better? No ideas about your back-clicking problem. Quote
Glenn Posted August 1, 2012 at 09:16 PM Author Report Posted August 1, 2012 at 09:16 PM Yes, it is! Thanks! Quote
