Hi all,

I would like a translation for the following sentence: "Holding on to yesterdays"

If no exact translation is possible then translations that kind of mean the same are welcome as well.

I'd go with "怀念往昔" which means "in reminiscence of the past".

”怀念着昨天“ is a choice of a exact translation.

Depending on the context (which is very important), you might consider 眷戀前塵 or 戀戀前塵.

To emphasise, you could also consider combining either of them with #2, like 懷念往昔，眷戀前塵.

Context: I've got some things in my mind that I want to remember whole my life and I'm holding on to.

Then I suggest you consider the 4th option - 莫失莫忘. I think this is best for a tattoo (it is for a tattoo, isn't it?)

And If I want this as a tattoo I just need to set it like this:

It means "never lose, never forget", or "don't lose, don't forget", or (according to the translation of this book), "mislay me/you/him/her/it not, forget me/you/him/her/it not".

It can be written horizontally from left to right as in #6, or vertically as in #8.
