Hello,

I am so glad to find this forum,

I would love to move to China, live and work, but right now Im stuck at how to come, what kindda visa should i get and how China government would accept me...I am from Persia.

I already have an online business with good income, its totally Online, no matter where I am, I can do it.

I have also Commerce card and do export/import, this card is internationally recognized and I can use it in any country.

My aim is to come to China, and get involved in exporting here, My commerce card is Individual, not Corporate, therefor I can do export alone without registering a Company, at least thats how it works in my own Country, Im not sure if i have to register a Company in China in order to export? I hope not.

I would also import stuffs from my own country and retail-sell it here, for that i need to set up a website/online shop, open a bank account and such, I wonder what the procedure is to open an online shop in China? anyone can do that?

Thank you!

Forgive my ignorance, but by Persia did you mean Iran? We have a member here who is from Iran and has been in China for some years studying Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In case you don't already know, there is a great firewall of China, and not all websites hosted in other parts of the world are accessible in China. But surely there are ways to work around the firewall, and since you are in the online business you probably know a lot about these things.

Sorry that I can't help you with your questions.

You can't just turn up in China and set up shop. Like all other countries, it has immigration laws. I can't see how you fit into those. Your only reason for choosing China seems to be that you want to. There is no room on the visa application for that.

Setting up a company in China is complicated and many licences are needed. Do you know any Chinese? That would be a huge problem.

I think you need to do a LOT of research.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the reply,

Yea last 48 hours I been studying about things, and yes Its gonna be almost impossible for me coming to China, first there's no place for self-employed foreigners coming to China with Z Visa, they have to be employed and WORK for China government! with other Visas, its totally illegal to make any income, indeed only China is like this, also for export/import I do need to register a Company which is not my desire at all.

But i gained a lotta knowledge and found other ways to expand my business in china while i am outside, thats pretty good.

And yes skylee, Persia is the same Iran.

Good luck everybody

This is not strictly correct. You can start your own single person 'wholly owned foreign enterprise' for a minimum of RMB 100,000 registered capital (though this minimum may be more depending on the business type and the location where you register), and then as owner/managing director get a Z-visa through your own company.

However like you said, you don't want to register a company, so this is not so relevant for you, but that does not mean it can't be done.
