Reader's Digest

I understand that there is a Reader's Digest in Simplified Chinese. How can I get a subscription? or can I buy individual copies easily at newstands in China?

The Reader's Digest in Traditional Chinese is freely available I know (but this is not what I am looking for)

I think you may be referring to 读者（duzhe). It is very reminiscent of readers digest. http://www.duzhe.com/

I have the impression 读者 is generally longer pieces, rather than the condensed and rewritten articles in Reader's Digest. Anyway, Reader's Digest in China is 普知 - although apparently it did once have a dispute with 读者 over the name 读者文摘.
