valikor Posted August 27, 2012 at 06:25 AM Report Posted August 27, 2012 at 06:25 AM The "physical examination certificate" or whatever it's called is a green piece of paper stamped by the hospital. I don't remember if they took my original copy or a photocopy when I applied for my last student visa about 4 months ago.The physical said it is valid for 6 months. I'm wondering if the reason that I can't find my documentation is because I turned it in last time, with my visa application, and they never gave it back...? This is a problem since I'm applying for a new visa now, and the time is a bit limited. I'm in Beijing. Thanks! David Quote
anonymoose Posted August 27, 2012 at 09:55 AM Report Posted August 27, 2012 at 09:55 AM No, they don't give it back. But you don't need a new one if you are applying for an extension of an old residence permit rather than applying for a new one from scratch. Quote
外国赤佬 Posted August 27, 2012 at 09:57 AM Report Posted August 27, 2012 at 09:57 AM You don't need to redo the medical examination for a visa extension. Quote

It depends on the local interpretation of the regulations. Down here in Guangxi, I need a new medical every year when applying for my residence permit extension. I think it was the same in Hunan.
