I have always wondered what other things like this there are but noone seems to write them down or talk about them.Maybe I will start collecting these various festivals and other such things. Any body know of any others? Sorry to hijack this thread, maybe i should start a new one One other which occurred just last week was Chinese Valentine's Day, 七夕。 A friend told me she went to buy flowers for her house and found that red roses were twice their usual price because of increased demand. China celebrates Valentine's Day twice, once on the "imported" date in February, and once in the seventh lunar month. I bought some chocolates and gave them to a lady friend after I found out. Quote
liuzhou Posted August 30, 2012 at 09:28 AM Report Posted August 30, 2012 at 09:28 AM noone seems to write them down There are dozens of sites on the internet listing and explaining them. A basic search for Chinese festivals will turn them up. Wikipedia has a partial list here and some more here. Quote
