老马萍 Posted September 1, 2012 at 06:13 PM Report Share Posted September 1, 2012 at 06:13 PM Anyone using this with success? I was told the auto-pronounce function would read whole sentences which seemed helpful for practicing pronounciation. After downloading the trial, auto-pronounce did not work at all -- not on single words let alone whole sentences. I couldn't find any mistake in my my setup. My Chinese teacher downloaded it and had the same problem. Did I misunderstand the way it works? I do not find the guides helpful. Finally, I have Perakun, anyone know if they can co-exist or could that be the problem? Any comments??
Shelley Posted September 2, 2012 at 09:59 PM Report Share Posted September 2, 2012 at 09:59 PM I may be wrong but i believe that those function don't work in the trial version. I used this for a while and it was quite good while it worked but then it started to not work properly and so I unistalled it and then tried again but no joy. i gave up at that point so I don't know what was wrong. i may try again soon. nawor Posted September 3, 2012 at 12:25 AM Report Share Posted September 3, 2012 at 12:25 AM I have the paid version but I have a lot of problems under windows 7. It usually stops working after a short time and needs to be restarted. It is a good program when working but 99% of the time, when I find the need for it, the program has stopped working. abcdefg Posted September 3, 2012 at 12:24 PM Report Share Posted September 3, 2012 at 12:24 PM #3 -- Same here. It has proven to be unstable and unreliable for me.
simonlaing Posted September 3, 2012 at 01:30 PM Report Share Posted September 3, 2012 at 01:30 PM Hi guys, I use it with google translate. I copy and paste the chinese in and then switch back to the software or the website and read the article. The only issue is that google translate can't pause in the middle. So if you stop you neet to repeat things you have to just copy and paste short passages.. Does anyone else have a good method as well? Simon:)
Tatarik Posted May 8, 2014 at 09:09 AM Report Share Posted May 8, 2014 at 09:09 AM I tried installing the Win version of the software (http://mdbg.loqu8.com/), but I "couldn't download the installation data from the Internet" during the installation process itself, even after several attempts. Has anyone bumped into the same issue? screen copy: http://imgur.com/WnjUrvV
