roddy Posted September 7, 2012 at 11:28 AM Report Posted September 7, 2012 at 11:28 AM Later that day we walked across Rannoch Moor, which is beautiful in good weather. We did not have good weather. We had driving rain. I'll post some more pics once that nice long Middlebury write-up is posted... Quote

msittig Posted September 7, 2012 at 01:52 PM Report Posted September 7, 2012 at 01:52 PM Reading it now, Googled for the wife's birthplace and found that the story had been translated into Chinese and published in "科幻世界译文版/Science Fiction World" back in 2011. There was some controversy surrounding the translation because the bit about the Great Leap Forward and Great Cultural Revolution were translated out. Link on Solidot that explains the controversy: http://books.solidot...2/09/05/1416212 Link to Chinese translation: http://ishare.iask.s...f/33741644.html 2 Quote

imron Posted September 8, 2012 at 02:15 PM Author Report Posted September 8, 2012 at 02:15 PM If you want to remove formatting from a given set of text, simply highlight the text and click the 'eraser' button on the toolbar (second button from the left on the top toolbar). This does away with any formatting and just leaves you with the text. I've just done that now for your post, and then re-bolded the headings. Let me know if there's anything I missed. Quote

New Members ricsrevenge Posted September 8, 2012 at 03:39 PM New Members Report Posted September 8, 2012 at 03:39 PM I absolutely adored this book. It is one of the most moving fiction i have ever read. When reading the mother's letter to her son, I almost cried. I recommend this book to everyone and have to say that Ken really did a great job in a book of only 15 pages. Quote
