browny Posted February 11, 2005 at 03:37 AM Report Posted February 11, 2005 at 03:37 AM Hey everyone, I thought I'd start a new thread to introduce my website. It teaches you how to use QQ software to practice your chinese, and it has a database of 6707 characters with pinyin / cantonese romanization and links to zhongwen.com reference. I made it so that you can translate while your chatting (entire sentences) Because chinese people are so impatient online!! hehe You can check it out here: http://qq.bur.st If you want to see all the characters on the database: http://qq.bur.st/doit.php The website has a phpbb forum and some other resources too. Anyway, check it out and tell me what you think! Quote
chengdude Posted February 11, 2005 at 04:32 AM Report Posted February 11, 2005 at 04:32 AM Blocked in my tiny corner of the Mainland...although from previous threads that raised the subject, it seems the service provided by my university filters much more than those of other Mainland users. Quote
browny Posted February 11, 2005 at 04:47 AM Author Report Posted February 11, 2005 at 04:47 AM you can't open qq.bur.st? That's a little strange, I have many friends in mainland china that can open it, chongqing, beijing, liaoning, hangzhou, etc. where in china do you live? Quote
chengdude Posted February 11, 2005 at 05:19 AM Report Posted February 11, 2005 at 05:19 AM where in china do you live? Look at my user name. I know it's being filtered because it will open using an anonymous proxy, which of course slows everything down, sometimes screws up formatting, and generally makes browsing/using a site all the more mafan and not worth the effort...sigh.
