liuzhou Posted September 19, 2012 at 03:34 PM Report Posted September 19, 2012 at 03:34 PM Does anyone have any experience on this outfit. A Chinese cheesemaker making artisanal French cheeses in Beijing. Website in English, Chinese or French. I'm particularly interested in their mail order service. One friend in Shanghai has ordered cheese with no problems, but I'd be interested to know if anyone else has any experience or thoughts. Quote
gougou Posted September 22, 2012 at 10:32 AM Report Posted September 22, 2012 at 10:32 AM I remember buying their cheese when I lived closed to 箭厂胡同。Back then, they certainly didn't have such a big selection (I would have killed for some good tomme...) - in fact, I only remember the little grey one. That one I bought a couple of times though, it was nice to have a non-industrial cheese for decent prices. No experience with their mail order service though. Quote

roddy Posted September 22, 2012 at 02:26 PM Report Posted September 22, 2012 at 02:26 PM No personal experience, but I know they've been in business for some years, so they can't be that bad. If you like martial hutong names, there's also a 火药局胡同. Quote

I'm not about to name names, but I can think of many companies which are irredeemably bad, but have been in business for years, decades or even centuries. But I know what you mean! Quote
