count_zero Posted September 30, 2012 at 04:58 AM Report Posted September 30, 2012 at 04:58 AM In Season 3 Episode 14 of "Louie" the cookie-munching funnyman comes to China. His attempts at Mandarin are actually not bad! I expect it's because he's bilingual: English+Spanish. In 30 Rock there is an episode centering on some characters heading to see the Beijing Olympics. They do some corny kung-fu style dialogue, which is not great, though Jenna Maroney's pronunciation is actually pretty clear. In Funny People, Eric Bana talks to his kids in Mandarin and it's embarrassingly bad. You can't even tell what's he's trying to say. Welcome kiddie shoes to share other examples! 1 Quote
xuechengfeng Posted October 3, 2012 at 02:27 AM Report Posted October 3, 2012 at 02:27 AM It's interesting to see the various ways in which China / Chinese enters popular American culture. I love Louis CK. Glad to see a China-related episode on there!! Quote
