Geiko Posted September 30, 2012 at 10:23 AM Report Share Posted September 30, 2012 at 10:23 AM Hi everybody! At class we just learned how to describe a surname according to its strokes, that is, 三横王、木子李、弓长张、口天吴、草头黄…… and also how to describe a name by mentioning words that contain those characters (张德明,弓长张,德国的“德”,明天的“明”). We have to do the same with "our" Chinese names, but I'm having a hard time describing mine, 艾吉玛。 艾:草头艾 would be ok? Is there a better way to describe it? 吉:吉祥的“吉” 玛:玛瑙的“玛” or 玉字玛?
