In the context a man is asking a woman for her to wait a little more, to which she replies : 好吧!半个小时总够吧?so "Ok, half an hour will be enough, wouldn' it ?" but I wonder about the 总 there. Could anyone provide some other example sentence using 总 in this way ?

As this is representing spoken conversation, I think it is so the 够 is not misunderstood as a different character.

You might wish to take a look at the explanation (adverb (2)) in the Lin Yutang Dictionary -> http://humanum.arts....ory=wholerecord

(2) At any rate, in any event, anyway, anyhow: 他不肯讓步 in no event would he ever give in;

有一天你會明白 there must be a day when you will understand.

总here means ying gai应该should be,eg:A:给你买100个汉堡 总 够吃了吧? Buy 100 hamburgers should be enough for you? B:不够! No! lol
