italki challenge

Wonder if anyone else took the italki challenge. You were supposed to take 8 lessons in about two weeks. It cost 10 bucks and if you met the challenge you are supposed to get 40 bucks in additional lesson credits. When I inquired, they said I didn't fulfill the requirements. After I showed them I did, I have heard not a peep or response to maybe 8 emails. It's kind of sad because I have taken maybe 200 private lessons from different tutors and been happy with the service otherwise.

I'm the Marketing Director at italki, and just wanted to respond to your comment.

We did receive your emails, and we were in the process of double-checking our system to work out the issue. We have updated your account accordingly, and I will follow up with your personally by email.

We do apologize for the delay in resolving this, but we had huge interest in the Language Challenge and we were backlogged slightly with crediting all the successful applicants. We will be running the Challenge again in the January, and will make sure that everything runs smoothly!

Am pleased to say that the issue was resolved. As I mentioned in my previous post, I had been happy with italki until that point and only when I had no return communication from them did I wonder aloud in this public forum, something I was loathe to do.

By the way, you can get lessons from qualified teachers for less than the cost of a latte at Starbucks for an hour at italki. You can also spend more but the lessons are still very reasonably priced.
