New Members xcrunner1945 Posted December 20, 2012 at 03:13 AM New Members Report Posted December 20, 2012 at 03:13 AM I'm looking for a Chinese Mahjong set. I don't really know what makes it different from the American, Japanese, Taiwanese, etc. sets. I know the American version has more tiles. And, I can't really find a set in stores that isn't the American version. Can someone help me find a good Chinese Mahjong set? Please send links if you have gotten or know of a good set. Also, any tips on purchasing one would be helpful. I'm trying to find a good quality set, but don't know much about the game. A link would be ideal but like I said any tips on buying on would be much appreciated. It's a gift for someone but since I don't know much about the game it's hard for me to know what to purchase and what not to purchase. Quote

However, it looks like I'd have to purchase multiple sets. I'm just looking to get one set as a gift. Do you know of any sites that would allow me to just purchase one instead of buying in bulk? New Members xcrunner1945 Posted December 22, 2012 at 07:14 AM Author New Members Report Posted December 22, 2012 at 07:14 AM I should also mention that I'm not looking to ship from out of the country. I'd rather keep shipping within the United States to avoid problems with credit card companies and large shipping fees. Is there another site besides the one you guys have mentioned that I could try? I do appreciate the help. Quote
hackinger Posted December 22, 2012 at 01:09 PM Report Posted December 22, 2012 at 01:09 PM Hi, try Yutopian: http://yutopian.com/...710&category=mj I know this shop because they have Go (Weiqi) books, but they also carry a few Mahjong sets. Of course there are other shops: http://www.mahjongse...ks-mahjong.html The wikipedia article is quite interesting and use google to find the Mahjong player organisations, which may have additonal info. Cheers hackinger Quote
