foodtarget Posted January 10, 2013 at 01:57 PM Report Share Posted January 10, 2013 at 01:57 PM My friend, who works at a hotel in Korea, asked me to translate something for him into Chinese. It's describing the hotel's club and benefits of joining. I'm not very familiar with the more formal written forms that would be appropriate in this context, so I would greatly appreciate it if someone could check that my translations make sense. 华美达广场酒店俱乐部 营业时间是每天从早上7时到晚上10时 Complimentary Food & Beverage Presentations -Breakfast at buffet restaurant 06:30 ~ 10:00 -All day menu 07:00 ~ 22:00 -Happy hour 18:00 ~ 20:30 免费提供用餐期间 -早餐在自助餐馆 06:30 ~ 10:00 -整天的菜单 07:00 ~ 22:00 -欢乐时光 18:00 ~ 20:30 Benefits -Express check-in & check-out service -Complimentary high speed internet -secretarial service -Complimentary admission to the fitness & sauna -Complimentary two-hour use of the meeting room per day -1 Item complimentary Laundry service daily (Y-shirt or Blouse only) -Turn down service -Complimentary VIP toiletries -Late check-out until 3:00 P.M. 会员好处 -特快住宿和退房服务 -免费使用高速互联网 -秘书服务 -免费使用健身中心和桑拿浴室 -每天多达两个钟头使用会议室 -每天免费提供一件礼服衬衫的洗衣服务 -夜床服务 -免费提供优质卫生用品 -到下午3时的延迟退房 * Should you wish to invite guests who are neither club members nor staying on the executive floor, their consumption will be charged to your room account. 如果您想招待非会员或非下榻在豪华楼层的宾客,他/她(们)的使用费将被充到您的帐户。 * 华美达广场俱乐部位于17层

skylee Posted January 11, 2013 at 11:27 AM Report Share Posted January 11, 2013 at 11:27 AM 17层 This reminds me of hell. Is it common to use 層 on the mainland to refer to which floor/level? If not, I suggest changing it to 樓.

dwq Posted January 13, 2013 at 03:58 PM Report Share Posted January 13, 2013 at 03:58 PM I think 時 is more 書面語 and more suitable here, but perhaps this is another one of those things where what is common differs by region...
DespikableMi Posted January 13, 2013 at 11:47 PM Report Share Posted January 13, 2013 at 11:47 PM 「时」means the same as 「点」in this case but I chose the latter because diǎn is more common and to avoid awkward combination such as shíshí (10时).
