Guest realmayo Posted January 11, 2013 at 10:48 AM Report Posted January 11, 2013 at 10:48 AM I'm trying to find free online articles that aren't as heavy going as typical news pieces. Something like the print mag 读者 or the more colourful (literally) weekly news magazines, I suppose. For dipping into during quiet periods at work. Some suggestions on the forums from a few years ago no longer work or are not mouse-overable. Any ideas anyone? Edit: any interesting blogs might work too. Quote
Pingfa Posted January 11, 2013 at 02:54 PM Report Posted January 11, 2013 at 02:54 PM http://www.lifeweek.com.cn/ http://jandan.net/ That's pretty much all I've got for light reading in Chinese. I also occasionally read some articles at http://movie.mtime.com/ for news and trivia on movies and http://gnn.gamer.com.tw/ for videogame and anime news. 2 Quote
peterlkj Posted January 11, 2013 at 02:56 PM Report Posted January 11, 2013 at 02:56 PM After you posted your question I just took a look, 读者 actually has a website with a bunch of articles up there. Quote
Guest realmayo Posted January 16, 2013 at 02:53 PM Report Posted January 16, 2013 at 02:53 PM Thanks Pingfa. The lifeweek site seems to do something that prevents me using a mouse-over dictionary to look up words, but the jandan link looks great -- thanks again. Peterlkf, I had a look at the website but could only find a limited number of articles from 2011 available. Quote
