taibeihong Posted February 24, 2005 at 07:18 AM Report Posted February 24, 2005 at 07:18 AM Has anybody checked the recorded lessons at zanhe.com? in lesson one, when you listen to the dialogues and exercises, do you hear any vowels becoming voiceless? for example in: dusikeu (library), the i is barely audible for me. síti (bookshop), again I'm under the impression the first í is unvoiced losi (teacher), same thing it's be interesting, because along with the pronounciation of "l" as "r", the unvoicing of vowels would make it even more Japanese-like! like in Japanese nomimashita (drank), where the ending is practically "shta". Any comments? Quote
