roddy Posted March 7, 2005 at 11:56 AM Report Posted March 7, 2005 at 11:56 AM This list is now available at http://www.chinese-forums.com/phrases.xls (2.25MB, Excel) I've also made a cut down list of the first 2000 for anyone who is curious but doesn't want the whole list http://www.chinese-forums.com/first2000phrases.xls (300KB, 左右) Looks like they've been number crunched out of newspapers. shady Posted March 7, 2005 at 12:46 PM Report Posted March 7, 2005 at 12:46 PM thanks for the effort! It's nice to not only see a list of the most frequent characters, which you can find quite often, but also the most common phrases! Thanks! PS: although i don't need the smaller list of it, i found the link is not working. Quote
nipponman Posted March 7, 2005 at 01:06 PM Report Posted March 7, 2005 at 01:06 PM Thanks roddy, djwebb. Quote

AsiaTrey Posted March 18, 2005 at 04:14 AM Report Posted March 18, 2005 at 04:14 AM Great list Roddy! Any chance anyone out there has finished filing in the translations? Just wanting to be lazy! Thanks Quote
calnerd Posted May 5, 2005 at 09:26 AM Report Posted May 5, 2005 at 09:26 AM I was really excited to see this list... but the links don't work? If anyone could fix the link or email the list I'd *really* appreciate it. On a related note, the link also appears to be broken on the 235 structures post... http://www.chinese-forums.com/structures.doc Maybe I should post there as well... sounds interesting. Quote
roddy Posted May 5, 2005 at 10:34 AM Report Posted May 5, 2005 at 10:34 AM Didn't get moved across in the server move. I've added the smaller 2000 phrases list here. I'm having trouble uploading the larger one (it's over 2MB) through the forum software, so here is the direct link to it on the old server. I'll also upload the structures document to it's original topic - thanks for the headsup. Roddy Quote

sky888 Posted April 19, 2006 at 01:10 PM Report Posted April 19, 2006 at 01:10 PM I did not see these items translated when I downloaded the first2000phrases file. So, I dumped them into Dim Sum for a 2 second conversion. I also added a syllable column and completed the traditional column. At any rate, seems to have turned out nice. Let me know if you see otherwise. http://www.ravechat.com/first2000.xls Quote
