Today, I don't understand some details of the following dialog: 女：不要一边吃饭一边看报纸，好不好？ 男：知道了，我就看看今天天气怎么样。 I understand roughly the meaning of the whole, as something like: Woman: You must not read newspapers during eating, ok? Man: I know, I just look at the weather, is that ok with you? But I don't understand the meaning of 就 in 我就看看... Is there anyone who understand?
