Chinese text input on Motorola V620

I've been trying to input Chinese text on my Motorola V620 mobile phone, but no success so far. It can read Chinese text, but even though I set to Chinese language menu, it's still not able to input Chinese. Isn't this silly? Anyone knows how I can get it to input Chinese?
