Tulee Posted February 27, 2013 at 12:14 AM Report Posted February 27, 2013 at 12:14 AM Hi, was wondering if someone could help me. I saw it in this kind of context: 把失去的青春给刷回来 Thanks for the help Quote
skylee Posted February 27, 2013 at 12:59 AM Report Posted February 27, 2013 at 12:59 AM 刷 looks like a typo. It would make sense if it is 奪 or 補 or 尋 etc. But if somehow a metaphor is used to compare the loss of youth to expenses on credit cards, then 刷 might make sense. But in this sense 刷 indicates spending. I think it is unlikely to get back something by the action of 刷. Quote
andysun731 Posted February 27, 2013 at 02:21 AM Report Posted February 27, 2013 at 02:21 AM Seldom use 刷 like this. Any context? Quote
semantic nuance Posted February 27, 2013 at 02:58 AM Report Posted February 27, 2013 at 02:58 AM could be a typo. It seems 抓, instead of 刷. Quote
roddy Posted February 27, 2013 at 09:09 AM Report Posted February 27, 2013 at 09:09 AM or... Reinstall / reboot / reload / restore your lost youth? The most common use of 刷 in this context is probably 刷新 - to refresh, reload a webpage or similar. Quote
li3wei1 Posted February 27, 2013 at 09:14 AM Report Posted February 27, 2013 at 09:14 AM There may be another typo: 逝去的青春 seems to be a popular phrase Quote
