youhao Posted March 1, 2013 at 08:36 AM Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 at 08:36 AM I have been struggling over the verb 配. I can not figure out why 配钥匙 is used here and not 复钥匙 or copy. The only reasonable explanation that I can think is 配零件 or replacement part being the key is replaced. Or 另配? Any help explaining would be great. 陳德聰 Posted March 1, 2013 at 10:41 AM Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 at 10:41 AM 配 can mean a lot of things, but when it comes to making another key... You need a key that matches the original, correct?
roddy Posted March 1, 2013 at 12:12 PM Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 at 12:12 PM Or you could think of it as matching the lock. If you get a decent dictionary and check through all the definitions there'll be one that makes sense.
