Does anybody know what a 外地人 working in Beijing should do to get a 港澳通行证 to visit Hong Kong for a couple of days (for tourism)? Does he have to go back to his own 户口所在地 or can he somehow get it done without leaving Beijing? (ex. through a travel agent)

I'm thinking of visiting HK over the weekend with a couple of friends and one of us is in the above situation.

2.外地在京人员申办往来港澳通行证

外省（市）人员申办3个月以内多次商务签注不受在京暂住期限的限制，申办1年多次商务签注需在京暂住1年（含）以上,持《北京市工作居住证》人员也可以申请赴港澳商务，不受暂住限制。所需材料与北京市居民申请条件相同。
