Scoobyqueen Posted March 10, 2013 at 11:03 AM Report Posted March 10, 2013 at 11:03 AM I attended a lecture on engine management systems the other day on increasing power in an engine. I am sure the text that was meant to be read out said 提高功率 but the speaker said what sounded to me like 调高功率. Surely when you talk about increasing power would you not use 提高? postedit: sorry headline is wrong it should of course be power output... :-) Thanks in advance. Quote
魑魅魍魉Lol Posted March 10, 2013 at 11:20 AM Report Posted March 10, 2013 at 11:20 AM i think it depends on context 提高功率 refer to use new technology or something to increase power 调高功率 means that its power is adjustable and u turn it up hope it helps 1 Quote
Scoobyqueen Posted March 10, 2013 at 03:16 PM Author Report Posted March 10, 2013 at 03:16 PM That makes perfect sense. Thanks you. They guy doing the talk was reading from the slides and read the wrong word. He must have thought it meant turning up the power but it is indeed increase power through the use of larger engine or tweaking engine management which is then 提高。 Thanks for clarifying! Quote
