T_byeol Posted March 20, 2013 at 02:00 PM Author Report Posted March 20, 2013 at 02:00 PM Thanks for the info ....I think your level is pretty good by the way even if you say that you don't work hard.Passing the HSK5 exam after about 2 years in China is an achievement,in my opinion, especially since there are people out there who have been living in China for longer than you and still can't get beyond elementary level. I think that a Teaching Chinese as a second language degree or a Translation/Interpreting major are most appealing to me,especially since I plan on living in China as well. Nothing comes without effort and nothing's free of risk but if you never try, you'll never know. That's how I think of it! 1 Quote

jeanlugson Posted July 5, 2013 at 05:59 PM Report Posted July 5, 2013 at 05:59 PM I will suggest you to go to Taiwan or Hong Kong instead of China, because the quality of education is horrible. For graduation matters I assure you if you're a Caucasian or at least you don't look like an Asian guy you will finish your study without any major problems even if you don't come to class and exams. As for the HSK level, I started my master study 2 year ago with HSK level 5, and it doesn't help much. I also know other foreign students in here, taking various major. Including Korean and Japanese students with level 6 HSK, and they also says the same thing. While HSK level 4+ will help you with the daily life but for your study if you join a Chinese class it doesn't help much, so you don't have to worry about studying without level 4 HSK. Quote
