The context it the speaker is trying to explain how she will make her life better, and after she explains her plan she says this. 我不会输给你们的 Thanks in advance! Quote
creamyhorror Posted April 18, 2013 at 08:22 PM Report Posted April 18, 2013 at 08:22 PM 输给 = "lose (a game/challenge) to" 我不会输给你们的 = I won't lose to you all = I'll trump you all (at life) Quote

skylee Posted April 19, 2013 at 08:25 AM Report Posted April 19, 2013 at 08:25 AM Re #3, it is interesting indeed. And it has been discussed before. Take a look -> apparently contradictory vocab in Chinese. 1 Quote
XiongNu Posted April 21, 2013 at 09:50 AM Report Posted April 21, 2013 at 09:50 AM It's kind of annoying when someone posts a question with 简体字 and people respond using 繁体字。。。太不体谅人了。 1 Quote
heifeng Posted April 24, 2013 at 02:26 PM Report Posted April 24, 2013 at 02:26 PM The solution is to learn (~enough of~) both forms so you don't have a problem reading them, or, discover the wonder that is google character conversion. ****wow**** Much thanks to those who do take the time to reply IN CHINESE-traditional or simplified! ____ Side note: As my professors use to say, you don't have to WRITE BOTH, but you MUST READ both...so no matter what level of Chinese a student may be, it is probably best to get a working knowledge of both. Besides, I don't know about others, I don't even have traditional input installed so I always type simplified, but will cut & paste both. If you cannot read one or the other, either convert it or tough. It's a cruel world, you will encounter BOTH IRL, so what can I say other than suck it up! 1 Quote
Piccologubby Posted June 9, 2013 at 08:18 AM Report Posted June 9, 2013 at 08:18 AM 我不会输给你们的 actually means I will win. (we both win at least.) Quote
