Dont want chinese on my galaxy ace

I just bought a samsung galaxy ace. i changed thr language to english but everytime i try to downliad an app it pushes the chinese version on me. is there some way to change this? do i have to root the phone to do this?

Shouldn't have gotten a domestic phone. My friend has the same problem, and because it's the domestic version I can't even root the phone to replace the ROM with Cyanogen. Live and learn...
