Patratzel Posted April 21, 2013 at 02:44 PM Report Posted April 21, 2013 at 02:44 PM I bought this watercolour many , many years ago. All I remember were the words peaceful and green. I think it's dated 1958 and the signature may be David *********. That's all and I may be completely wrong. I've tried OCR but with no definite results. Can anyone help please? It's a lovely picture that needs a name and an artist. Thanks. Quote
skylee Posted April 21, 2013 at 11:28 PM Report Posted April 21, 2013 at 11:28 PM The words are 蒨英 一九五八年 (Qian Ying 1958). Qian Ying is probably the name of the painter. Quote

Patratzel Posted April 22, 2013 at 10:34 AM Author Report Posted April 22, 2013 at 10:34 AM It is. I found out from your info that the artist was Chien Ying Chang and she lived in the UK for most of her adult life and died in 2003. Thanks again. Quote
