How would you translate "step out of your comfort zone" to Chinese?

I am having difficulty coming with a translation for "step out of your comfort zone" to Chinese. I am using this phrase in the following context:

"Sometimes we need to step out of our comfort zone to grow stronger."

I can't think of a good Chinese translation for this. I can't come out with anything without sounding weird haha

Anyone has any good translation for this?

Well, "comfort zone: has been translated (directly from English) as 舒適區. I suppose you could say "走出你的舒適區" for "step outside your comfort zone".

@lingo-ling, thanks! Does it make sense to you in Chinese? Like, I don't know why I am feeling "走出你的舒適區" seems to be more of a metaphor rather than a straightforward statement like the English version. Maybe I am just over thinking? Aside from translation, I guess I was also trying to find a phrase in Chinese that implies the same meaning. Thank you for the help regardless :)

Isn't it metaphorical in English too? One isn't really physically "stepping" in the sense of "stepping across the threshold of the store."

@abcdefg sorry I wasn't clear. You are right that it is metaphorical in English for "stepping". But I was thinking about the translation of "comfort zone" that bothers me a bit. I don't know if I'm just not used to the translation of "comfort zone" or what.

When I see 舒适区, I wish there were a better translation than that. It sounds like some sort of weird massage parlour.

It sounds like some sort of weird massage parlour.

A massage parlour calling itself 不舒适区 would be even weirder.

Just came back from getting a vigorous blind massage. Lots of knuckles and elbows. The big room has eight tables and the air is filled with groans. Some of the groans are mine, but I feel better afterwards.

They always start with “ 哪里不舒服?” And then you hear a lot of "疼不疼?“ as things go along.

@陳德聰, LOL rofl haha. I didn't think of message parlour. I just got that weird feeling haha.

@li3wei1, haha indeed!

@abcdefg, haha nice.
