New Members bildo Posted April 30, 2013 at 07:10 PM New Members Report Posted April 30, 2013 at 07:10 PM I started using ginger paste recently. It seems to taste and mix better than grated ginger. I have been experimenting with wine. Instead of rice wine I'm using a white zin.I use my own chicken stock but have used canned stock when I'm out. Here is my contribution to Chinese-forums food section. Very easy sauce to make. 1. grab big mixing bowl then add 2. 1 cup chicken stock 3. 1/4 cup soy sauce 5. 4 tbs brown sugar 6. 1 tsp sesame oil 7. 1 tbs minced garlic or garlic powder 8. 1 tbs minced ginger or ginger paste 9. 1 cup white zin wine or rice wine 10. 1 tbs black pepper 11. 4 tbs corn starch Mix this all up real good then place in a pan and stir on medium heat until thick. If you want it hot you can add 1tbs of cayenne pepper to the mix. The white zin wine gives the sauce an interesting but very good flavour. This sauce can be added to stir fry in wok. bildo.... Quote
abcdefg Posted May 1, 2013 at 08:43 AM Report Posted May 1, 2013 at 08:43 AM Sounds good. But is there no salt? (I suppose the soy sauce might make it unnecessary.) Thanks. Quote
jprater89 Posted August 5, 2013 at 10:40 AM Report Posted August 5, 2013 at 10:40 AM Are you in China or abroad? Sounds like a great recipe, but not sure how easy it would be to find the white zin in most Chinese cities. Quote
