kaya Posted May 5, 2013 at 12:38 AM Report Share Posted May 5, 2013 at 12:38 AM I wonder how I can pin or unpin threads. There are some pinned threads from Nov. 2007 that I want to unpin since there is no interest to pin such old threads. How can I do this? Thanks!
icebear Posted May 5, 2013 at 04:30 AM Report Share Posted May 5, 2013 at 04:30 AM Threads are pinned by moderators, usually for regularly recurring topic (e.g. scholarship information) so that the same conversation need not be rehashed over and over. kaya Posted May 5, 2013 at 12:55 PM Author Report Share Posted May 5, 2013 at 12:55 PM Thank you icebear! Do you know how can I become moderator of the ZDT Flashcard forum? It seems that I'm the only active developer/submitter of this project right now and I want to unpin these old threads from 2007.
roddy Posted May 7, 2013 at 09:46 AM Report Share Posted May 7, 2013 at 09:46 AM Hi Kaya, If you just want a couple of threads pinned / unpinned, lets us know exactly which ones and we can do it. If you'd like moderator privileges yourself so you could pin / unpin and also delete or edit other people's posts (useful for, eg, maintaining an FAQ or something) drop us a line and let us know. Thanks for your efforts in keeping ZDT alive.
kaya Posted May 7, 2013 at 07:05 PM Author Report Share Posted May 7, 2013 at 07:05 PM Hi Imron, it would be nice if I could be a moderator so I could also clean up the Flashcard forum a bit i.e. split threads into distinct topics if they contain different subjects. A FAQ or a survey (if possible) would be nice too! However, the most urgent action would be to unpin these outdated threads: http://www.chinese-forums.com/index.php?/topic/17270-zdt-080-status/ http://www.chinese-forums.com/index.php?/topic/15102-zdt-070-available/ Thanks!
roddy Posted May 8, 2013 at 09:48 AM Report Share Posted May 8, 2013 at 09:48 AM What do you mean by flashcard forum? I'm only talking about this specific ZDT sub-forum. Will unpin those topics for you.
mvdberg112 Posted May 8, 2013 at 05:12 PM Report Share Posted May 8, 2013 at 05:12 PM Very good idea to unpin the outdated posts! Tx.
kaya Posted May 8, 2013 at 10:22 PM Author Report Share Posted May 8, 2013 at 10:22 PM Thanks for unpinning the old threads! > What do you mean by flashcard forum? I thought this forum is called "Flashcard Forum" because it's written in the header (see attached screenshot).
roddy Posted May 9, 2013 at 08:51 AM Report Share Posted May 9, 2013 at 08:51 AM Right enough, I was thinking of it as the ZDT Forum. Apologies. Kaya, I've given you mod permissions for this forum. That will let you pin / unpin topics, edit posts, split topics, etc. Send me a pm if you have any questions. There are still things you won't be able to do, such as move a topic to another forum.

roddy Posted May 9, 2013 at 04:14 PM Report Share Posted May 9, 2013 at 04:14 PM Please do. Imron would also like me to point out that I'm Roddy, not Imron.
