techie Posted November 17, 2003 at 07:59 PM Report Posted November 17, 2003 at 07:59 PM I wonder if anybody else have encountered the following: I am able to write and read Chinese in my computer, but that's because I also added "Chinese PRC" in the advanced section of my "Add Languages". However I noticed that if I use programs such as RosettaStone for the Mandarin language, the Hanyu section comes looking like "garbage" then if I removed my Chinese PRC for unicode from the advanced languages everything is back to normal. Dilemma. My Chinese PRC allows me to read and put Chinese programs in my XP but it messes up other programs. The only solution is to put on or remove the "Chinese PRC" . Has anybody else encountered this? Also, I will not be able to read the Chinese chatrooms such as those in china263.net unless I put back the "Chinese PRC" as the language for "non-unicode" (on the advanced section of adding languages for WindowsXP).
