SamODell Posted May 18, 2013 at 03:45 PM Report Posted May 18, 2013 at 03:45 PM I worked in China for several years teaching English and it was easy to find 100s of different types of worksheets for use while teaching Children English...now me and my Chinese wife have moved to England and we are struggling to find resources as plentiful as those for teaching English. Does anyone know any sites which share 'for free' worksheets or printouts which can be used for teaching Children Mandarin? Or any other site focused towards teaching children Mandarin which has any resources which might be useful. Many thanks! Quote
siledouyaoai Posted May 18, 2013 at 09:10 PM Report Posted May 18, 2013 at 09:10 PM You could look on the TES website, but there wasn't much last time I checked. Xiao tian has a good website with some very innovative resources which are worth checking out: http://www.sheautian...-ppt-words.html Shaz Lawrence's creative Chinese is also worth investigating. Probably more suitable for key stage 2 though, and there is a charge for some of the resources. Her website is down at the moment, but this is still available: http://gigglepotz.com/cmm_downloads/cmm_mod1.pdf Although not free, jinbu is probably the best choice in terms of text books: http://www.amazon.co...&keywords=jinbu Teaching Chinese in the UK is still in its infancy and teachers are having to do a lot of resource creation. I'm teaching in a secondary school, so if you find any other resources please share! 1 Quote
imron Posted May 18, 2013 at 10:21 PM Report Posted May 18, 2013 at 10:21 PM For creating Chinese character worksheets, you can try this site that I developed: Hanzi Grids. It's free for creating basic worksheets, and for a small, one-off fee you can also get access to other features such as handwriting fonts, changing the grid background lines and so on. Quote
miaomiao Posted May 8, 2014 at 08:30 PM Report Posted May 8, 2014 at 08:30 PM Any chance that hanzi grids site will have stroke order added to it? We started creating worksheets to learn to write Chinese.... you can see them at our blog here: http://www.teachkidschinese.com/p/reading-and-writing-chinese.html we're always going to be making more and I'd love to find more free resources out there that I can link to. FYI we will probably review hanzi grids eventually! Quote
imron Posted May 8, 2014 at 11:52 PM Report Posted May 8, 2014 at 11:52 PM I'd like to add them eventually, but at the moment, I can't commit to any sort of timeframe for when it will happen. Quote
