Dan Bang Posted March 7, 2005 at 04:42 PM Report Posted March 7, 2005 at 04:42 PM If you are going to live in Beijing (and perhaps travel around in China afterwards) should you then bring more than your visa card and some traveller’s cheques? Isn’t it possible to draw some money (for a cab heading towards BLCU) with your visa card once you have arrived at Beijing Airport? Thanks in advance! Quote
xiaoxiajenny Posted March 8, 2005 at 02:24 AM Report Posted March 8, 2005 at 02:24 AM Yes, there are several ATMs (Automatic Teller Machines) in the arrival hall of Beijing Capital Airport that accept foreign credit cards. You'll also find some scattered around the city -- look for the "visa" sign on the machine or screen. You can definitely get money out at the airport with an ATM card. http://www.eastgreetswesttravel.com/General/faq.html Need an Insider's Guide to Beijing? Jose Posted March 8, 2005 at 07:08 PM Report Posted March 8, 2005 at 07:08 PM I would recommend that you take some cash with you, too, just in case. Sometimes you can't find an ATM that will take foreign cards, or the ATM network may be down, or whatever. It's always easy to find a place that will change foreign money if other options don't work. Euros, US dollars and sterling are all fine. I'm not sure about Danish kroner. Quote
