kcb Posted July 3, 2013 at 01:19 AM Report Posted July 3, 2013 at 01:19 AM @AndrewDotson, There is some issues with some of the Chinese people's English language and it is possible they might have copy pasted the heading. So it might say 2012 even though result published is for 2013. I am not 100% but just a thought.
Lancelot Posted July 3, 2013 at 01:20 AM Report Posted July 3, 2013 at 01:20 AM @shuoshuo Thanks! Two more weeks of waiting then.

shuoshuo Posted July 3, 2013 at 04:47 AM Report Posted July 3, 2013 at 04:47 AM @Fabio Luiz - Congrats...although I don't understand: if you got the CSC scholarship why aren't they covering any of the fees?
shakilmahtab Posted July 3, 2013 at 04:59 AM Report Posted July 3, 2013 at 04:59 AM @Fabio Luiz--hi bro I will also go for tongji Univer. (shanghai). see U der!!
Fabio Luiz Posted July 3, 2013 at 05:00 AM Report Posted July 3, 2013 at 05:00 AM @shuoshuo its because a brazilian program (science without borders (http://www.cienciase...br/web/csf-eng/)) they pay everything, and they made a patnership with CSC, that will pay less, some people the brazilian gov will not need to pay the fees, because csc wont require it
anasiftikhar Posted July 3, 2013 at 05:16 AM Report Posted July 3, 2013 at 05:16 AM @AndrewDotson... For HUST they have announced 2013 CSC list of 60 students. I am not sure why the guy have posted 2012 list on this forum. Anyhow 1st batch of CSC list has already been posted on HUST website and the next list might probably come either this week or next.

anasiftikhar Posted July 3, 2013 at 06:02 AM Report Posted July 3, 2013 at 06:02 AM Does anyone know when Dalian University of Technology is going to announce the result?
anna88 Posted July 3, 2013 at 07:54 AM Report Posted July 3, 2013 at 07:54 AM I'm so jealous that the universities you applied for already gave you the results ;) I asked BLCU if I got the scholarship but they said I have to ask to the department I submitted the application form, so I guess they mean CSC. I just have to wait until July 15th
TriniChiniby2 Posted July 3, 2013 at 08:54 AM Report Posted July 3, 2013 at 08:54 AM @ TriniRon and all other Trinidadian applicants Hi, I have been reading your comments about applying for the CSC scholarship in Trinidad to study Chinese for a year and AMAZED at the level of information that you have. I have also applied for the scholarship but got no response yet from Embassy. I am getting weary of the wait but trying to be positive. I called the embassy here in Trinidad and all they tell me is that I should call CSC myself in China! I feel like I am missing something here...can you enlighten me? I applied early April, and the chinese embassy had no clue as the procedure or process - I felt like I was the only one applying! So I had to research the whole process by myself, educate the guy and then instruct him on what to do with my documents ( i.e send it to CSC in Beijing - he actually told me to send it myself and I had to tell him the instructions clearly forbade that:)Who did you correspond with at the embassy? I spoke to one Mr Li ( there are two Li's I know). I just need to know if I got through yes or no....any advice would be appreciated. Patience running thin........
shuoshuo Posted July 3, 2013 at 12:00 PM Report Posted July 3, 2013 at 12:00 PM @TriniChiniby2 - That must have been a terrible experience! Sorry to hear that. I really do hope he sent your documents and not left it on his desk! If you have an embassy or consulate in Beijing, you can contact them and ask them to contact CSC for any information. 1

presando Posted July 3, 2013 at 04:29 PM Report Posted July 3, 2013 at 04:29 PM @TriniChiniby I am sorry to hear that you experienced such difficulty in applying for the scholarship. This is how I applied for the scholarship: Around March, I emailed the embassy requesting information on how to apply for the scholarship. I had to email them 2x before I got a response. They instructed me to come and collect the application materials at the Visa office (during the opening hours). I spoke to a woman, whose name I do not know and collected the materials from a man whose name I also do not know. I then followed the application instructions in the application package (which consisted of a CD, the foreigner physical examination form and the instructions which had the all important AGENCY No.). That is, I applied online at the http://laihua.csc.edu.cn/inscholarship/jsp/student/StudentLogin.jsp submitted the online form, I applied for a full Bachelor's degree, then printed it out. I did not have a GUARANTOR in China so I left that part of the form blank. I then got notarized copies of my certificates, plus a university transcript, an autobiographical statement, two letters of recommendation, and a copy of my passport biodata page. I had to get a chest X-Ray and a test for HIV/AIDS and Syphillis. I then took the chest x ray report and the venereal disease test results to my physician who filled out my form and stamped it and two pictures of me for me. I submitted all my application materials in DUPLICATE { the printed online application (signed), notarized CSEC certificate (front and back), CAPE Certificates (front and back), CAPE Diploma (front and back), GCE (front and back), SAT certificate, the letters of recommendation, the autobiographical statement, the university transcript (front and back), the passport biodata page, the chest x ray report, the venereal disease test results, the foreigner physical examination form with a picture attached}. I kept the originals of the foreigner physical examination form, the chest x ray report, and the venereal disease test results. I put all these things in an envelope and took it back to the VISA office of the Chinese Embassy. I spoke to the woman again and said it had to reach Beijing before the 30th. She said "OK. We will send it to Beijing." I then got a call in early June that I got the scholarship and to come collect my package. So I went and collected my package which has says I got the scholarship and to register by Sep 2-4th at Tongji. It came with more forms to fill out.......(I hate forms). I hope everything goes all right for you. I hope what I said here will be of some help. May God bless you. 2
presando Posted July 3, 2013 at 04:32 PM Report Posted July 3, 2013 at 04:32 PM @Fabio Luiz @shakilmahtab Hi, I will also be going to Tongji
